Wisheso is a series of three handmade sixteen-millimeter films made of crickets, eyelashes, scabs, dandelion seeds, ants, and hair. The gathering of the tangible remains of animals presents a delicately discernible space between existence, disintegration, and resilience: a space emblematic of girlhood survival that further serves as a locus yielding to an intimate intercross with these animals. The incessant, ecstatic, and subliminal imagery of these videos is the visualization of stirring the bits and pieces that will provoke a resuscitation beyond this physical existence on the edge of destruction, like rubbing sticks together with the intent of throwing a spark that will birth a secret speciation intersecting my lonely therianthropic survival with these animals.
